Bulk Workbench Orders for a New Warehouse: Lead Times and What to Lock In First

To get a bulk order of workbenches in Vietnam ready before your new warehouse opens, work with PRIMEAG’s lead times: standard models 5–7 working days, new designs 10–15 working days, orders over 20 benches about 2–3 weeks. Lock in sizes, quantities and the floor layout first, then split deliveries so the earliest operating zones get theirs first.

A warehouse opening date is usually fixed before the building is finished. Only when the floor is dry and the lights are on does the operations team ask when the dozens of packing benches and trolleys will arrive. The answer lies in what was locked in during the first week.

Summary
  • Plan backwards from the opening date.
  • Consolidate into few sizes, prefer standard models.
  • Receiving and packing zones get the first batch.
  • Reserve days for installation and checks before the trial run.

Backward schedule for a bulk workbench order for a warehouse

Take the opening date as the final milestone and work back step by step:

StepWhat to lock inReference time
1. QuoteNumber of benches, sizes, power or not, number of trolleysWithin 30 minutes once information is complete
2. Choose modelStandard model or new designStandard model 5–7 working days; new design 10–15 working days
3. Batch productionTotal quantity, batch orderOrders over 20 benches 2–3 weeks
4. On-site installationMove-in date, delivery access route, power supplyDepends on quantity and site
5. Check and trial runCorrect count, correct positions, bench feet leveledReserved before opening

The workshop produces about 1,500 benches, trolleys and racks per month; an order of a few dozen benches rarely gets stuck on capacity, it usually gets stuck on finalizing information.

What to lock in first

Standard model or new design

The lean pipe (plastic-coated steel pipe, Φ28) workbench comes in custom lengths of 600–1800 mm, with a 150 kg top load and 20 kg per shelf level. Keeping the standard configuration puts it in the standard-model group. Adding special details such as a tape roll holder or monitor bracket makes it a new design, plus drawing approval time.

Few sizes, large quantities

Each extra size means another cutting order and another joint set. Consolidate into 2–3 bench sizes. The frame is assembled with bolted joints, so after opening you can still change shelf heights or add levels.

Trolleys and stainless steel items

Multi-level lean pipe trolleys: 100 kg per level, 3 levels by default, 2–5 optional. For areas that need frequent wash-down, ask about 304 stainless steel racks and trolleys when requesting the quote so the schedule is confirmed at the same time.

Two warehouse projects as examples

Singapore-invested e-commerce transit warehouse, Ho Chi Minh City, 09/2026: 50 benches 1200×750, 30 benches 1500×750 and 4 stainless steel 304 benches 1200×2400; 10 days of production, 2 days of installation. The whole order used only three bench sizes.

Chinese-invested logistics and distribution center, Phu Tho, 07/2026: 30 trolleys, 32 benches 1200×750, 6 benches 1500×1000 and 5 stainless steel benches 1200×2400. The order mixed benches, trolleys and stainless items, so each group was scheduled separately.

Split deliveries and on-site installation

The first batch goes to receiving and packing, where the trial run happens first; later batches go to the returns area and the warehouse office. How to lay out packing stations with shelves, lamps and sockets is covered in designing e-commerce packing benches; for the returns area see laying out a returns inspection and sorting area.

Export processing enterprises can receive 0% VAT invoices; for orders from VND 20 million, PRIMEAG handles the on-the-spot import/export customs declaration free of charge. Bench and trolley frames carry a 3-year warranty; casters, lamps and sockets 12 months.

Where to start

  1. Write down the opening date and the site handover date.
  2. Count the stations in each zone and reduce them to few bench sizes.
  3. Send the warehouse layout via the floor plan upload page.
  4. Lock in models and delivery batches in the same week you receive the quote.

Frequently asked questions

How long does it take to order 80 workbenches for a warehouse in Vietnam? Orders over 20 benches usually need 2–3 weeks of production with standard models and few sizes. New design details add drawing approval time.

Can we receive part of the benches before the warehouse opening date? Yes, split by zone: receiving and packing first, secondary zones later. Fix the batch order when placing the order so the workshop can schedule the cutting orders.

What if we want to change the shelf height on the benches after opening? The Φ28 pipe frame uses bolted joints; you only need a hex key to move a shelf level or add pipes and joints, with no need to order new benches.
