When to choose the single-fan benchtop ionizing blower
- One workstation, airflow needs to reach far enough (up to 900 mm) → 701. Mounted close to a machine or microscope, tight space → mini ionizer (700).
- Long bench or 2 operators side by side → two-fan ionizing bar (702): 160 CFM, working distance up to 1,400 mm, balance ≤ ±5 V.
- Want to drop the manual needle-cleaning schedule → self-cleaning single-fan ionizer (711).
- Choosing the version: 701 when you have a periodic verification schedule; 701+ when the unit needs to raise its own alarm; 701+NET when the alarm signal must go to a network monitoring system.
Verification and maintenance
- Measure ion balance and discharge time with a charged plate monitor (CPM) at the actual distance where the product sits in front of the blower; check periodically (6 months recommended) and re-measure after every cleaning or emitter needle replacement.
- Emitter needles are consumables: clean them weekly with an IPA-moistened cotton swab with the power off, never touch the needles with bare hands; clean the intake grille to maintain airflow.
- An ionizer does not replace wrist straps, mats or flooring: grounding remains the primary measure for conductors and people; ionization is for insulators that cannot be removed (plastic housings, glass, films, trays).
