Surface resistance meter for testing ESD worksurfaces and floors in Vietnam factories: an analog (needle) meter for worksurfaces to ANSI/ESD S4.1 and flooring materials to S7.1. It measures at 2 test voltages over a range of 1,000 Ω to 100 GΩ with ±3 % accuracy; 4 measuring modes.

When to choose the analog surface resistance meter
- Acceptance testing and periodic checks of worksurfaces and floors to S4.1 / S7.1 with ±3 % accuracy → TR1801.
- You need a direct digital readout with temperature and humidity for reports → TR1800 digital.
- Quick on-the-spot checks without carrying heavy electrodes → TR1380 with LED display.
- When testing worksurfaces, also measure areas prone to wear or dirt; use two electrodes for point-to-point measurement to locate faults when resistance to ground is abnormal.

Why does a surface resistance meter need 2 test voltages?
Per the S4.1 procedure: measure at 10 V first; if the result is 1×10⁶ Ω or higher, switch to 100 V and measure again. The TR1801 has 2 test voltages.
Standard or portable electrode – which should I choose?
According to the catalogue, the portable electrode is several times lighter than the standard electrode, making it convenient for measuring many locations.
What is the measuring range at each test voltage?
The catalogue prints separate ranges for 10 V and 100 V, but the exponents are unclear; the overall range is 1,000 Ω – 100 GΩ. Detailed ranges are confirmed with the quotation.
