Looking for a low ESD tray for workbenches in a Vietnam electronics plant? The PB12 low tray measures 350×250×100 mm outside with a gross volume of 8.8 litres — a wide opening and low walls for holding PCBs, sub-assemblies and components where operators can see them at a glance on the workbench.

The 10³–10⁹ Ω range falls in the conductive–dissipative zone as classified by ANSI/ESD S541 (conductive < 10⁴ Ω, dissipative 10⁴ to < 10¹¹ Ω); both classes can be used in an EPA. Place it on a grounded bench or shelf to drain charge; when taking parts outside the EPA, put PCBs in shielding bags or use a box with a closed lid.
When to choose the 350×250×100 tray (PB12)

Frequently asked questions
Is 350×250×100 the inside or outside size of the tray?
It is the outer (overall) size, tolerance ±3%. The inside is smaller; if parts must fit snugly, measure the inner dimensions on a sample before ordering in quantity.
Is the ESD PB12 identical to the standard (non-ESD) PB12?
Same code, but moulded in a separate tool, so dimensions can differ by a few mm. When ordering, specify the ESD version (black, carbon-filled PP).
Will cleaning remove the ESD properties?
No. The carbon is distributed throughout the plastic, not applied as a coating, so wiping with IPA or ethanol does not remove the ESD properties. Avoid cleaners containing silicone or wax; PP becomes more brittle below 0 °C, so avoid dropping it when used in cold storage.
