Code: MR · ESD PCB magazine racks and PCB storage trolleys. Also called “SMT magazine rack”, “50-slot PCB rack” or “PCB trolley” — the difference: all 4 sizes from the PRIMEAG catalogue, adjustable slots, trolleys to carry the racks, resistance measured on every lot. R2-M and R3-L in stock; other sizes 3–5 days; trolleys 7 working days.
Magazine racks in ESD plastic (carbon-loaded PP/ABS) with 50 slots hold each board in its own slot so boards never touch, for feeding SMT loaders/unloaders or moving boards between soldering, inspection and assembly; the sliding side wall adjusts to board width. PCB storage trolleys have an aluminium or ESD-painted steel frame, levels for racks or slotted board holders and conductive casters — boards are stored between shifts without stacking.
Specifications
- Reference size (mm)*: R1-S 250 × 250 · R2-M 330 × 250 · R3-L 355 × 320 · R4-XL 460 × 400
- Slots / pitch: 50 / 10 mm (all rack sizes)
- Material: ESD PP (R1-S, R2-M); ESD ABS (R3-L, R4-XL)
- Resistance: 10⁶–10⁹ Ω
- Heat resistance: 80 °C (not for baking)
- Packing: R1-S 5 racks/carton · R2-M 5/carton · R3-L 4/carton · R4-XL 2/carton
- PT-PCB trolley: 800 × 600 × 1400 mm, 3030 aluminium or ESD-painted steel frame, deck 10⁶–10⁹ Ω; capacity depends on rack size and number of levels, or 30 boards in the slotted version; 1 trolley per package
*The R3-L (355 × 320) and R4-XL (460 × 400) figures match the outer dimensions of market-standard racks; the corresponding maximum board sizes are about 330 × 250 and 445 × 330 mm. Confirm the maximum board size against the catalogue when ordering.
Choose by use
- Automatic SMT loading → rack size matched to the loader (measure the magazine opening, note the machine model).
- Moving boards between process steps → racks + PT-PCB trolley.
- Long-term storage outside the EPA → ESD bins (EB-6142) + shielding bags.
- Thick, heavy boards (>1 kg) → slotted trolley rather than racks.
TESTING: resistance measured on every lot; trial with your actual boards.
FAQ
- How do I choose the rack size? — Board long side + 10 mm; a 300×200 board → R2-M. Send your board size and PRIMEAG will select it.
- Can the racks go through an oven? — No, only up to 80 °C. Racks for reflow are stainless steel/aluminium (ask PRIMEAG).
- Is a 10 mm slot enough for boards with tall components? — Boards with components taller than 8 mm go in every other slot, or use racks with 20 mm pitch.
- How many boards does a PT-PCB trolley carry? — It depends on rack size and number of levels — an 800 × 600 level usually holds about 2 racks of 355 × 320; PRIMEAG calculates it from your board size when quoting. The slotted version holds 30 boards.
