ESD plastic box 460×330×182 mm from a supplier in Vietnam, envelope volume 27.6 litres. Compared with PB4, PB3 is 50 mm shorter and 10 mm narrower but 12 mm taller — choose it when the rack or trolley is narrow but you still need almost the same capacity.

The 10³–10⁹ Ω range falls in the conductive – dissipative region as classified by ANSI/ESD S541 (conductive < 10⁴ Ω, dissipative 10⁴ to < 10¹¹ Ω); both groups can be used in an EPA. Place the box on a grounded bench or rack to drain charge; when taking goods outside the EPA, put PCBs in shielding bags or use a box with a closed lid.

Frequently asked questions
Is 460×330×182 the inner or outer size of the ESD box?
It is the outer (overall) size, tolerance ±3 %. The inner dimensions are smaller; if your parts need to fit snugly, measure the inside of a sample before ordering in volume.
Is the ESD PB3 box identical to the standard PB3?
Same code, but moulded in a separate tool, so it may differ by a few mm. When ordering, clearly specify the ESD version (black, carbon-filled PP).
Does cleaning remove the ESD properties of the box?
No. The carbon is distributed throughout the plastic, not a coating, so wiping with IPA or ethanol does not remove the ESD properties. Avoid cleaners containing silicone or wax; PP becomes more brittle below 0 °C, so avoid dropping boxes used in cold storage.
