Cleanroom Consumables for Electronics Factories: List by Class, Selection and CoA

Sourcing cleanroom consumables for an electronics factory in Vietnam? Split the list by ISO 14644-1 class 5–8: garments, gloves, wipers, swabs, tacky products, cleanroom paper and ESD shoes. PRIMEAG suggests choosing by process, requiring a CoA or ESD test report for every batch, and receiving most items within 24–48 hours.

Summary
  • Class 5–6 (former class 100–1,000) needs fully enclosed coveralls, laser-sealed-edge wipers and foam-tip swabs; class 7–8 (10,000–100,000) allows two-piece suits and cheaper wiping paper.
  • Every batch must carry a lot label and a CoA or CO/CQ; ESD items come with a resistance test report.
  • Most product groups are delivered quickly within southern Vietnam; wipers, wiping paper and custom-made items must be ordered in advance.

Cleanroom consumables list by cleanliness class

ISO 14644-1 sets the class by the number of particles per cubic metre of air. The cleaner the class, the lower in lint and ions the consumables must be, and the more fully they must cover the person.

Selection criteria by process

  • Wiping ESD benches, trays, SMT tools: 1009SLE wipers, resistant to IPA, acetone, ethanol.
  • Soldering tips, nozzles, flux: small foam-tip swabs.
  • PCB surfaces, glass, film: silicone rollers combined with DCR pads.
  • Clean area entrance: tacky mat placed after the air shower.

A comparison of coveralls, two-piece suits and frocks is in the article choosing ESD cleanroom garments by class.

Documents to require when buying and at incoming inspection

QA should file documents by batch, not by order.

  • CoA per batch: wipers and swabs state particles, fibres, NVR, ions.
  • CO/CQ and RoHS: for caps, shoe covers, gloves.
  • ESD test report per batch: for ESD garments and footwear.
  • Lot label on bags and cartons: for traceability if a problem occurs.

Before restocking, if the factory wants to know whether the ESD mats, chairs and shoes in use still pass, it can invite PRIMEAG for free on-site resistance testing with a TR1800 meter and 5 lb electrode, including items bought elsewhere.

Delivery time and invoicing

Gloves, garments, rollers, tacky mats and ESD footwear are stock items, delivered in 24–48 hours in Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Dong Nai. Wipers, wiping paper and garments in custom sizes or with logo printing need ordering time. Export processing enterprises can receive 0% VAT invoices; for orders from VND 20 million, PRIMEAG handles the on-the-spot import/export customs declaration free of charge.

Real project: air shower for an electronics workshop

In 06/2026, PRIMEAG installed a stainless steel air shower with 4 motors and 24 nozzles at an electronics factory in Binh Duong. How to lay out the entrance together with tacky mats is in the article dust control at clean area entrances.

Where to start

  1. Record the ISO class of each room and the number of people per shift.
  2. Estimate monthly consumption by process.
  3. Check against the table above, choose codes and request samples before large orders.
  4. State clearly which documents must accompany the order.

Frequently asked questions

30-sheet or 60-sheet tacky mat for a cleanroom door? Cleanroom and air shower doors have high foot traffic, so use 60-sheet mats to change them less often. For warehouse or ordinary workshop doors, the 30-sheet type is enough.

Can two-piece cleanroom suits be used in an ISO 5 room? Not recommended. Two-piece suits use the same fabric and have the same resistance as coveralls, but the back opens when bending, so they only suit EPA and ISO 7–8 areas. ISO 5 rooms need hooded coveralls in grid fabric or 2.5 mm stripe, by special order.

Can 0609 wiping paper replace 1009SLE polyester wipers to cut cost? Only for general, low-demand wiping. 0609 paper is a cheap non-woven that absorbs fast but sheds lint; 1009SLE is laser-cut knitted polyester with low lint, IPA-resistant, suitable for ISO 5–7 areas.
