When to choose the 3-fan ionizing bar
- Bench of about half a metre up to 2 stations → 2-fan ionizing bar (702), 555 mm long, light at 3.0 kg.
- Bar close to 1 m but with automatic emitter cleaning → 3-fan self-cleaning ionizer (713), neutralizing area 800 × 300 × 750 mm.
- Note: the catalogue lists the 300–1,600 mm distance only in the 703+ column, leaving the 703 and 703+NET columns blank; when mounting at a longer distance, verify with a charged plate measurement.
Testing and maintenance
- Measure ion balance and discharge time with a charged plate monitor (CPM) at the actual distance of the product in front of the ionizer; check periodically (every 6 months recommended) and re-measure after every cleaning or emitter replacement.
- Emitter needles are consumables: clean them weekly with an IPA-moistened swab with the power off, do not touch the needles with bare hands; clean the intake grille to maintain airflow.
- An ionizer does not replace wrist straps, mats or ESD flooring: grounding remains the primary measure for conductors and people; ionization is for insulators that cannot be removed (plastic housings, glass, films, trays).
